At ASRI, we are dedicated to supporting and empowering young scholars in their pursuit of scientific knowledge and academic success. Our scholarships provide financial support to high school students who demonstrate a strong commitment to research and academic excellence. These awards are designed to encourage students to delve deeper into research fields. Whether you’re conducting independent research, presenting at conferences, or contributing to community projects, our scholarships aim to relieve financial barriers and allow students to focus on their passions and impact.

High-scoring applicants are those who consistently demonstrate academic strength, a commitment to research and community service, and a clear passion for science and ASRI's mission. These individuals embody the spirit of scientific inquiry and community leadership.

Eligibility Requirements:
Currently enrolled in high school
Active member of ASRI, participating in research activities

If accepted, participant must consent to an interview as well as the publication on ASRI website

Academic Achievements
5: GPA of 3.8 or higher, consistent academic excellence across STEM courses, advanced or AP course completion
4: GPA of 3.5-3.79, strong performance in STEM courses, some advanced coursework
3: GPA of 3.0-3.49, good academic standing, strong STEM foundation
2: GPA of 2.5-2.99, moderate STEM focus
1: GPA below 2.5, limited evidence of academic focus on STEM
Commitment to Research
5: Independent research experience, publication or presentation at a conference, ongoing research involvement
4: Substantial research experience, participation in research groups or school research programs
3: Moderate research experience, completion of research-related coursework or summer programs
2: Limited research experience, some interest shown in scientific inquiry
1: No research experience or involvement
Personal Growth & Mission Alignment
5: Strong essay that clearly articulates personal growth, passion for science, and commitment to ASRI’s mission
4: Good essay with evident alignment to ASRI’s goals and growth through experiences
3: Satisfactory essay with some alignment to ASRI’s mission and demonstrated personal development
2: Essay lacking depth, limited connection to ASRI’s mission
1: Weak or absent essay, no clear connection to ASRI’s goals or mission
